BVM Global @ Bengaluru organized the Scouts & Guides Camp for the academic year 2016-17. Students of classes 5-8 participated enthusiastically in the day long program on 23rd February 2017.
Scouting aims to support young people in their physical, mental and spiritual development, that they may play constructive roles in society, with a strong focus on the outdoors and survival skills. The camp was organized to fulfill the aim.
The trip began with the blessings of almighty. Students were taken for trekking and camping at Anekal. They enjoyed the trek, up the hill and were overwhelmed by the scenic beauty. On the way down, they explored the surroundings and collected firewood for cooking.
At the foot of the hill, students gathered in an ashram to help the teachers in preparing the food. Games and activities were also conducted while the food was getting ready. The students relished the dishes prepared by their teachers.
On the way back, students visited a waterfall situated at ‘Muthyalamaduvu’. They were thrilled by the beauty of the nature.
Soon it was time to go back to school where they were picked up by their parents. The day was fun-filled and served as an enriching experience for all. The trip proved to be a memorable experience for the students.
