The great Indian Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan‟s birthday is celebrated every year as the National Mathematics Day or Ramanujan Day.
BVM Global @ Bengaluru celebrated its 3rd Ramanujan Day Math exhibition on Dec 22, 2016, Thursday. Students from classes 5 to 8 participated with great enthusiasm. A special assembly was organized in the morning during which interesting facts about a few famous Mathematicians was shared. Also a few students from class 5 sang an interesting song about Math set to the tune of „Jingle Bells‟. There were displays of Math related quotes and models to bring in the interest and zeal for learning Math. Students covered a plethora of topics covering practical applications of Math, puzzles and teasers in Math, and higher level and extended topics, just to name a few. Models, charts, PPT and Scratch programs were designed by children to depict practical application of Math in real life.
Solved worksheets and Geometric City designed by the students of classes 3 and 4 were also on display.
