Bvm Global School @ Bengaluru carried out a fire evacuation drill on Friday, 19th of August. The Jayanagar Fire Department conducted the fire drill programme in the school.
The district fire officer Mr. PM Nagesh and his team had brought the fire engine and demonstrated the ways to douse fire on walls, trees and buildings using various valves that can be fitted to the hose of the fire engine. They also trained three of the school staff members to quench fire on waste materials using fire extinguisher.
As per the instructions given, all the students quickly and quietly moved out of the school premises at the sound of the fire alarm and gathered in the ground outside, which was considered to be safe. Mr. PM Nagesh, then briefed the students about the measures to safe guard themselves during an emergency caused by fire.
