Independence Day

BVM Global @ Bengaluru celebrated the 70th Independence day on Monday, the15th of August. 

The celebration began with the prayer song followed by the hoisting of the tricolor flag by the head girl, Shruti Nigam of Class VIII.  Thereafter, the students sung the National Anthem. In her speech, Shruti Nigam reiterated the importance of a clean India and being a responsible citizen.   Students of classes VI to VIII sang the patriotic song, ‘Mythrim Bhajatha, which was followed by a speech in Hindi by Sathyapriya of class VII.  Students of class V enacted a skit on the Swachh Bharat Campaign. 

The zeal to create a developed India was ignited in the minds of the students through the speech given by the teacher, Ms. Savithri.  She also spoke about the sacrifices of the leaders of the independence struggle and the freedom that needs to be treasured by all. She emphasized the need to build a corruption free India.

 

Shreya of Class VII, speaking on behalf of the students, quoted Tagore’s vision of India and how everyone has to strive towards his ideals of freedom at all levels. The celebration came to an end with a patriotic song, ‘Jaha Daal Daal Par’ sung by students of classes VI to VIII.
