Project day was held at BVM Global @ Nandiwoods on November 28; 2015.The chief guest for this occasion was Mr.Nagabhushan, principal, Shantiniketan B.Ed College, Bangalore. The event started with the lighting of the lamp outside the Pre- Kg classroom followed by a welcome speech and the school prayer.
The Pre- Kg children had ‘fruits and vegetables’ as their project day theme. The children were introduced to the names of various fruits and vegetables. Activities related to project like sponging, dabbing, finger printing, vegetable printing was done with them. They had fun doing their project worksheets with their teachers. They were also taken on a field trip to a vegetable shop in relation to the theme.
The LKG children had ‘seasons’ as their theme. They were shown videos, PPT and told stories in relation to the seasons. Their creativity was well brought out in the form of the various worksheets, group charts and activities they were involved in relation to the theme. They were taken to Farico as a part of field trip and shown the various clothes worn during different seasons.
The UKG children had ‘Living and non- Living things’ as their topic for project day. A lot of learning combined with hands on activity and fun happened for the children. They were shown videos and taught rhymes related to the theme. They did group charts, mobiles and also helped the teachers with the making of the take home. Children also helped in setting up the model for the class.
The lobby and the classrooms were beautifully adorned with charts, worksheets and the models. All the children were given a take home in relation to the theme. Parents visited the classrooms and were happy to see the colorful work of their children being displayed. The chief guest also visited the classrooms and appreciated the efforts put in by our tiny tots.
