7th Annual Day 2017-18

On 17th February 2018, BVM Global and BVM International celebrated their seventh and first Annual Day respectively. It was a fun–filled event with participation of all the students from Pre-KG to class 8. The program was split into two sessions - morning session for KG and class 1 and evening session for classes 2 to 8. The grandeur of the event was manifold as it was held on our newly laid playground of the new campus on Begur Koppa road. 

The theme for this year’s event was ‘Navarasa’ or nine emotions and all the programs were based on this theme. The campus was decorated befittingly with various facial expressions depicting the nine emotions on colourful kites and panels. The morning session for KG was graced by Mr. P.G. Subramanian, Principal BVM Global@ Bollenini Hillside, Chennai and Ms. Jayanthim, Deputy Director Education, BVM Global Group of Schools. The morning event saw colourfully dressed tiny tots in all hues that showcased a range of emotions such as devotion or Bhakti rasa through a song ‘God’s Love’ and Masiha, Shanti Rasa through  a song ‘ Iss jahaan ke liye’ , Hasya rasa through the colourful presentation of ‘Mera Joota hai Japani’ and ‘Ale Ale’, Karuna rasa through a heart rendering performance on the girl child through ‘Ori Chiraiya’ ,Veer rasa or the emotion related to courage and bravery through Nana Munna, Kandhon se Kandhe and Jahnsi ki Rani’. The Annual Report reading during the official function, besides outlining various school celebrations and events also highlighted the achievements of the students in various competitive exams such as the IEO, IMO, NSO and ASSET. The program ended with the national Anthem.

In the evening session for the primary school for classes 2 to 8 the chief guest was Mr. Shashidhar Kote, a renowned person in Kannada cultural circle. The other dignitaries included Sh. Subramanian and Ms. Jayanthi. The program began with an invocation to the almighty with a Ganesh Stuti and Saraswati Vandana.  Thereafter the various programs based on the theme Navaras depicted different emotions such as Comedy through Engliah play ‘Mullah Nasiruddin’, and Kannada play “Gamparu’, Bhakti rasa through the song ‘Love is beautiful’, veer rasa through Language drama in Hindi and Tamil based on historical characters, Raudra rasa through the skit by little ones titled Jungle Matrix and Karuna rasa through ‘Na kato Mujhe’ a cry for saving our forest resources. The Grand Finale, the last program of the day, was a medley of all the rasas portrayed through various dance forms. The program came to an end with the National Song Vande Mataram. The official function besides reading of the annual report saw the felicitation of parent volunteers who helped the school at a much-needed hour.

With this, year-round celebrations of the school came to a close for the year 2017-18.
