Sports Day 2017-18

It was a grand day for BVM Global and BVM International, Bengaluru on 20th January 2018 as we celebrated the 7th Annual Sports day and the 1st Annual Sports day respectively. The atmosphere was charged with colourful flags all around, children dressed in colourful attire and the stage set for a grand opening. The event began with the swinging tune of the school band that welcomed the chief guest of the day Ms. Manjula, an international Sports Personality, proficient in shot put, discuss throw and javelin throw. She received laurels and medals in various state, national and international sporting championships. Thereafter, the band lead the four houses Ganga, Yamuna, Cauvery and Godavari in the march past with the house captains / member holding their respecting house flags offering salute to the Chief Guest. It was a moment of pride when the Olympic flag, symbolic of any great sporting event was lighted by the sports secretary, Samhitha Ramnath and the house captains / member Bhavana, Niranjana, Trishita and Varsha.

It was followed by the splendid display of various band beats by students of classes 6 to 8. Next, were the colourful and energetic performances of drills by students of classes 1 to 5. These were the Frisbee exercises by class 1, star drill by class 2, Badminton Racket drill by class 3, Yogasanas by class 4, Lezim exercises by class 5 to name a few.  Classes 6 to 8 has combined performances to foot-tapping tunes in form of pyramid formation by boys and Zumba by girls. 

Every sports event is incomplete without challenges. The final round of track events was conducted for the students of classes 4 to 8. An exciting round of games were organized for the parents who got an opportunity to revisit their childhood. Thereafter, our esteemed chief guest addressed the gathering as she spoke to the parents to encourage their children to participate in sporting challenges on a regular basis.  The most awaited moment of the day was the prize distribution where the students from class 1 onwards were awarded the certificates, medals and trophies for individual winners in various games as well as house events conducted throughout the month. The day came to an end with a word by Principal mam and the vote of thanks followed by the National Anthem.
