As a tribute to all the wonderful things offered to us by nature, the Pongal festival is celebrated as a thanksgiving, after a good harvest. We celebrated Pongal on January 11, 2018, Thursday, with our school lobby decorated in the traditional way with rangoli, sugarcane and an overflowing pot of cooked, freshly harvested rice.
Celebrations began with a prayer to the Almighty. The children danced for different Pongal and Lohri dances. The take homes for the classes were given to children.
