Vanamahotsav, the festival celebrating our forest resources was held on 31st July 2017. Vanamahotsav is usually celebrated in the monsoon season that rejuvenates all our forest reserves with upteen rains. Students of class V to VIII participated in the event .The celebration began with a green thought. Varsha of class VIII gave a speech on the significance of this festival. A few students of class VIII performed a skit that highlighted the importance of five elements in nature. And Smriti Nigam of class VI gave a speech in Hindi on this occasion. The concluding part of the event was the seed ball activity where students prepared mud coverings to different types of seeds. These seeds would be prepared and kept safe to be planted at designated spaces. This initiative of the Eco club and Karuna club would instill in the students the necessary values for not only saving our forests for future but also to increase our forest cover.
