BVM Global @ Bengaluru hosted its 6th Project Day on Saturday, the 26th of November, 2016. The project theme for the year was ‘Dharithri’- Our Planet Earth. The programme was presided by the chief guest, Wing Commander Sanjay Kumar De, who served our country for thirty years being in the Indian Air Force. The programme was made lively with a song performance by the students of class III. It was also a day of harvest for the students who excelled in the academic year 2015-16 as they were honoured with the Certificates of Merit. The chief guest gave an inspirational speech focusing on the significance of involving students in the hands-on learning. Thereafter, he inaugurated the Project Day and visited every class.
The Pre-KG students displayed the works based on their study about the ‘Shapes Around Us’, while the LKG students displayed on ‘Journey through the Animal Kingdom’ and the UKG students on ‘Community Helpers’.
The class I students exhibited their work on ‘The Face of the Earth’ and class II students on ‘Earth-Our Unique Planet’. The chief guest had an interactive session with the students of classes III to VI who presented their explorations on ‘The Natural and Man-made wonders of the Earth’, ‘Human Settlements’, ‘History of Our Earth’ and ‘Satellites’ respectively, while the students of classes VII and VIII also presented their studies together about the natural resources of the earth, the human impact on the environment and saving our earth for a better tomorrow. Robotics was also integrated into our project theme through animation, programmes and constructions.
The Counselling and Resource Departments also utilized the opportunity to put on display the findings in their field of study.
The Project Day was indeed a day of true learning about Earth-Our Planet for everyone who stepped into BVM Global @ Bengaluru on Saturday, the 26th Nov 2016.
