Gokulashtami, the birthday of Lord Krishna was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the students of BVM Global@Bengaluru on August 24, 2016.
Students of classes I to IV chose to celebrate Gokulashtami with the prayer song followed by songs and bhajans. Students of class I sang the song, ‘Nandalala’ and students of class II sang the bhajan, ‘Radhika Manohara’. Next, Siddhant of class III gave a speech on Gokulashtami. The principal, Ms. Suman Kalra lit the lamp after which Mr. Srihari performed the puja.
Students of classes V to VIII celebrated Gokulashtami with the prayer song followed by a dance drama and then songs and bhajans. Students of class V performed a dance drama about the various attributes of Lord Krishna. Students of class IV A and IV B sang the bhajan, ‘Radha Ramana Madhana Mohana’. Students of classes VI and VII sang a song in praise of Lord Krishna. Ezhil Maaran of Class VIII shared a few words on the significance of Gukulashtami and the celebration came to an end with the National Anthem.
