On 27th January, 2018, the students of grades 5, 6 ,7 and 8 went on a field trip and picnic to Janapadaloka near Ramanagara. The place is a museum which showcases the folklore and culture of Karnataka. It has exhibits on general Indian history including puppets of leather and wood representing various characters from Mahabharata to various regions of Karnataka. The place had displays ranging from traditional cooking utensils, tools, weapons, musical instruments, tribal headgears, storage jars and grinding implements, to name a few, which are traditionally used in many households till date. The trip was like a journey through our cultural heritage.
